Last week Caris Life Sciences jumped into the top five companies hiring with 19 new job postings. BMS again posted the most new jobs with 53, compared to 69 two weeks ago.

Caris’s Commercial Push: Upcoming IPO Plans?

Caris appears to be focusing on commercial growth, with many Account Manager jobs posted last week across the country, along with IT and specimen processing roles. The commercial push could be related to their recently announced partnership with Ontada, an oncology analytics company with access to patient medical records and physician notes (the much hyped “real world evidence”).

Along with this commercial and operations hiring push, we’ve also seen Caris posting SEC analyst and manager positions periodically since December 2024. As of 2023, Caris has raised nearly $2B in debt and private equity since inception. Are they preparing for an IPO?

AI/ML Integration in Pharma

As usual, we continue to see well-compensated hiring demand for AI/ML roles, with experience levels from intern to senior.

• Machine Learning Lead - Drug Discovery at Vertex
• Multiple data science and analytics roles across companies

Geographic Patterns:

Good news, last week we saw a big rise in Remote first and remote-allowed roles!

• Major hubs were the usual, Boston/Cambridge, Gaithersburg, New Jersey, and Phoenix.
